THE FOLLOWING IS JUST A SMALL SELECTION OF THE ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE IN THE AREA

Mijas Park is one of the main water parks on the coast and is located on the main coast road heading towards Fuengirola and is just a short drive from the apartment. It is open from 10:30 to 18:00 with a reduced entry fee if you want to arrive after 15:00 as well as free admission for children under the age of 4.

Facilities include: a self service restaurant, changing rooms, gift shop and a picnic area.

Selwo (Estepona)

Selwo is an unique nature park where animals of the 5 continents co-exist in semi wild conditions. The park is divided into several zones, which contains a variety of different animals. The first area to be encountered is the lagoon which is home to many exotic birds. Nearby are habitats suitable for birds and monkeys.

One of the most exciting man made features is the bird canyon, a massive enclosed area where more than 40 different species of bird live freely.
A large part of the circuit is made in all terrain trucks, but there is still plenty to see on foot so make sure you wear suitable footwear. there is also very little shade so don't forget the sun cream.

  At Funny Beach there are a host of activities to suite everyone from water     ski-ing, jet ski's and a banana boat to go-karting trampolines and many other children's rides. Funny beach is just off the N340 near the first junction for Marbella.

                             Horse Racing

The Hipodromo Costa Del Sol, it is situated at urb el Chapperal 29650 Mijas Costa, Malaga, and can be accessed from 4 different exits along the N340 between Fuengirola and La Cala, and it is only a short drive from Riviera del sol. The Hipodromo Costa del sol was the first new racecourse to open in Spain for 25 years and has proven a great success. It has 2 concentric tracks with floodlighting for night-time racing a grandstand for 5,000 spectators and trackside seating for 5,000 more. The track is open all through the year so visitors can enjoy the thrill and excitement no matter what the time of year. Night-time racing on Saturdays, from 10:00pm takes place June, July, August and September. From October to May, Daytime racing takes place every other Sunday, starting at 11:00am, and from June to September, every Saturday again starting at 11:00am. 

Tivoli World (Benalmadena)
 

Tivoli World is an amusement park located at Arroy De LA Miel, 2kms from Benalmadena Costa. There are numerous rides, restaurants, bars and a professional programme of concerts mainly by Spanish artists as well as some 'look-alike' stars. The park has recently added an area especially for infants which includes 11 rides and other attractions designed for small children and babies. Another recent attraction is the Tivoli Agua, which is a water mountain flume ride which is very popular.

Sea Life Centre (Benalmadena)
SEA LIFE in Benalmadena Port. The 'danger in the reefs' exhibition allows you to experience the oceans most deadly creatures at close hand. This is a great place to take the kids to, they will love it with loads of local and more exotic Mediterranean wildlife such as sharks, rays, eels and many more. The underwater passage is a popular attraction and there is much more to see and learn.
